Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

They laid off staff who are customer facing, and now the whole operations are in shambles.

Customers are not getting answers for weeks and months,
Issues not resolved and accumulating.
They thought Ai will resolve all issues for them and replace staff.
The remaining teams are understaffed.

Good riddance.

I get hounded by the customer facing staff as soon as they get assigned a P1 ticket.

Id--ts slack and call you on phone before they have read anything in the ticket.

They will incorrectly assign the ticket and have others do their work for them and will proactively escalate the issue so that it is out of their hands.

The game is over guys. Find a honest job.

Give some credit to customer facing staff doing the work.

Everything cannot be a joke. This is serious.

VPs with massive RSUs will make the tickets disappear like magic.

In other words, business as usual. I can't remember a time when I didn't have to support's job for them anyway.

If AI is not working, then it is not being used correctly. It’s not the AI, it’s the humans.

@ac the point is why are you still here if it is so bad... no one needs to verify anything. It isn't going to get better.

@a8 What? People can't talk about it? Share information?

Granted, one has to take everything you see with a grain of salt, but some of this - like what was posted here - is easily verified. Especially if you know anyone who works in Operations (and I do).

@a4 They laid people off in Ops?? Man, they really DON'T care about customers - or reputation - any more, do they?

If you think the company is a dumpster fire why are you still standing in the middle of it? Do you see this turning around and getting better? Coming here and complaining about things no one here has any control over is a waste of your time. You would be better off to be focusing your energy on getting a new job that you find satisfying. Here are some facts... Oracle is down sizing it staff, it will continue indefinitely, the working environment will continue to deteriorate... now go back to my original questions.

Also they laid-off operations supporting roles now customers are not getting their issues resolved, and the other staff teams who depend on operational support are not getting the support they need.
