It's going to be a rough fall season. I think they are on a mission to make this company very lean. That means going down to 6000 employees this year.

@d7 Anyone know anything about Philadelphia or Boston leases? That’s all that’s left, right?
It seems the recent one targeted people working in local offices that are closing or scheduled to close. I'm not sure how many folks (subtracting VPs and above) are still at these locations.

So 6500 something right now which means September 250 and right before thanksgiving another 250. I think 6000 is not a target they want to reset pay for all long timers by laying them off and getting cheap replacements. Layoffs will continue until they get out of conservatorship or until desktop underwriters and other money makers experience catastrophic incidents
