Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

I'm quitting tomorrow

I thought about an exit interview, but why bother? HR won't listen. So it'll be a short email and a clean break. No notice. I'm just done.

@g6 I meant PIP for quiet quitting as someone had suggested

@ds they can't put you on PIP for this as it's medical reason/excused and approved by hr. I know of 13 people so far across multiple department who did it before being laid no questions asked when they did it.

Take elder care for 2 weeks for your "sick" grandpa, then he "Dies" at the end of your 2 weeks and you start 2 weeks bereavement leave and after that waste all of your remaining sick and pto leave to get an additional month or so depending how much you have. Citi doesn't require any proof of docs

That’s how I did it sent the letter 5 minutes after my comp discussion. Gave two weeks notice to pick up my bonus 2/1 as a parting retirement gift. My director was shocked because he was counting on me to pick up slack during paternity leave (as a side note I never got leave when I got a new puppy). He was a mo--n.

Just quiet quit first, and hopefully they will just RIF you and give you severance.

Otherwise, don't quit without another job offer in hand. Just go work on your resume and start applying. As soon as you get that offer in writing, put in your two weeks notice and throw up the deuces.

Don’t quit, let them lay you off so you can get severance and unemployment.

@OP Even if HR humored you and granted a request for an exit interview, it's not like they would actually listen to you and suddenly have an epiphany to change the extremely toxic culture that is Citi. That said, life is better on the outside.
