@ad lots of downvotes for this sane comment - lots of scammers will get caught. Uh oh!
In a genuine internal market based place
An employee should ideally be able to:
- Choose or compete for projects where their skills are valuable.
- Move between teams without excessive managerial gatekeeping.
- Negotiate responsibilities and, to some degree, compensation.
- Work where/how they are most productive when the work permits it.
- Develop skills that increase their market value.
- Leave one opportunity for a better internal opportunity.
That's essentially labor-market dynamics inside the company.
But there's an important distinction
A company can say:
“We're becoming a market-based organization.”
while simultaneously doing:
“Everyone must work from the office, follow centralized processes, and obtain management approval before changing anything.”
Very "market based" of you
I hear people are holding seats for their friends and telling people you can't sit there and have to go find another seat.
Nice to be back in grade school.
While I don't like the RTO policy, I'm not going to lie and cheat,. Compromising my values for a company is just not worth it to me.
Yep, the culture Stank created has made us all into clock watchers. 8 & Skate, it can wait.
