Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

SIU department

Does anyone have anything to share about the Special Investigation Unit departments! Are they safe? Does this department get along well with one another? Is it a toxic environment? With all the fraud that is happening and the news talking about the people that have been causing the fraudulent enrollments etc. I figure this department is safe.

@ak Under review by whom?? If under regulatory review and SIU leadership hasn’t faced consequences, it just goes to show how mismanaged it is. This place is nuts.

Most of the current SIU leadership came in from BCBS, one was even "let-go" from there for poor performance and now they are slowing dismantling the SIU. They are letting go of experienced, seasoned investigators and basically anyone who challenges their ideas of change. Avoid the toxic culture at SIU at all cost right now, incompetent leadership at best.

SIU and other departments within the compliance structure are under review. What will happen? Who knows, but I can't wait to see if they'll clean house or cover it up. Current leadership is shady. Watch your back.

@OP SIU is suffering from terrible, inept leadership all the way up the chain of command. VP is in over her head and her leadership covers for her; there’s been an active cleaning of house, getting rid of everyone with institutional knowledge to make room for external hires with personal connections to the ethics and compliance officer (the incompetent vp is an old friend of hers). The hiring process is rife with unabashed cronyism. SIU should be investigated by regulators.
