Thread regarding TIAA (TIAA-CREF) layoffs

The automated phone lines are garbage.
TIAA is tone deaf to their customers’ priorities and needs.
This is a failure of leadership.

@a9 call center staffing is going down. With website up nearly 24/7 and automated phone lines available 24/7 and chat available, staffing has been reduced as more emphasis on self service. Foreign labor in the Philipines, & India are now being used more to cut cost.

You seem a litle tense. I know the current hours. My question is whether the number of hours the phones are covered have been reduced lately. I believe reps used to be available for a couple of additional hours at the end of the day. The subtext: Were employees paid to work for x number of hours in the past, and were hours cut to reduce costs?
