Thread regarding Shell Oil layoffs

STCB News Please

I know there have already been quite a few posts about STCB, but still I wanted to ask again because I genuinely want to understand what the plan is going forward.

For me, the biggest confusion is whether it makes sense to start looking outside and jump to another company earlier than I had planned, or just stay with STCB, take it a little easy, and see how things settle down. With so much uncertainty, even a little clarity on the future would really help.

STCB is so delusional. Have a look into a mirror and ask whether you are valuable or a burden. If you still don't get a clue, then check out the 'love' shown by your fellow colleagues here. You guys give more problems than solutions to everyone and the big boss has finally had enough. You are a cancer which needs to be cut off.

@ac 100%, it's a money drain giving the illusion of efficiency, but adds no value at all.

Don't leave just yet. With Shell using the 8 billion from Chemicals sale to finance their purchase of Reliance, there will be more work coming to Bangalore.

Shell is growing quite well in Bangalore, especially in technology, digital, engineering and data-related roles. India is becoming an important hub for Shell, so there can be good long-term career opportunities here.

STCB from purely cost reductions / financial lens, made absolute sense. Practically, the most useless group of incompetent individuals with barely any meaningful training, wasting everyone's time to get upskilled, and once they have basic nursery level competence to do admin work, jump ship to other companies. It’s a failed experiment that needs to end.
