Contract No Renewal

I heard they're tightening the belt and only renewing some contractor positions. From what I've been told, unless you're considered top tier, renewals may not happen.

After the roller coaster of the last several months, this just feels like another blow for contractors.

Anyone else heard something?

They are definitely evaluating any contractors that have high salaries and asking managers to justify their renewals, those that are not deemed critical may be at risk

I think there are a lot of renewals on some teams in Aug/September either Aug 31 or Sept 30. It would be great to get a heads up as to what my next year looks like.

For the person not being renewed how much of a heads up / lead time did they give you?

I've heard a few were not renewed so it is happening. Just not sure if this is just through September timeframe. My guess is if people don't leave due to RTO in September, they'll end up cutting contractors to make the room.

Usually in all BUs the extensions will happen in December, are you on the same month ?

@ac It depends on when you started/the terms of the contract. My contract runs through January. Historically, those renewal conversations typically happen a month or two out in my experience.

As a fellow contractor, this all might be a great excuse to leave the Titanic before it sinks
