@aa From what I've observed, it's more about being well liked than high performing. Sad, but true.

@ad That is exactly what I notice; however, there is a nuance. I was RIF'd and have been with the company for 14 years. They said my position was eliminated. My counterpart, who shares the same title, has been with the company 16 years and was not RIF. The only difference between us was the salary. I was paid significantly more. Within my team, two additional tenured co-workers were RIF; they too have been with the company over 10 years. The team is left with a Director who's been with HP since it opened in TX and employees with no more than 6 years at the company. In addition, in a different SDA but the same department (Provider Engagement), the entire leadership team was RIF; they all have been with the company over 14 years and had very high salaries.

I’m noticing those that have been employed by the company for over 10 years is being impacted the most. Including those that are older and close to retirement.

A high performing employee from an individual west coast market was just RIFed. I’m not sure who is making these decisions but there were very obvious employees who should be laid off well before this person.

Of course it is impactful. I wont provide my team or department. But this is tragic and we can feel it and there is a dark cloud looming over. We do not know or understand the criteria used to let some go. I am seeing high performing agents go while leadership lets their friends stay and those friends receive much lower quality scores. Thats the tragedy.

@a3 apparently their focus is turning to retaining members and are not expected to grow any members next year.
