I hear they're laying off Trump bootlicking employees next round.
I probably should not post this but I will anyway. I have been at Cisco for too long and seen so many changes for the worse. Sales Leadership has ruined a once uniquely special place to work and in its place created absolutely terrible environment. The current restricting plan will lead to many many more layoffs as it is being further refined. Please take the necessary steps to look out for you and your family, it’s only going to get worse.
The number and beyond meeting is usually right after the earnings if no LR
If LR, it will separate by a few days

John Chambers copied his idol Jack Welch's use of layoffs and rank and yank (Cisco used to drop only the bottom 5%, not the 10% at GE.) From the big rise in PIP comments here it's possible Cisco is choosing the less expensive rank and yank to reduce the number of layoffs while reducing the number of bodies.
Chambers also did wage freezes at Cisco so don't be surprised if those ever come back.

The stock is not massively exuberant so not sure if that signals no layoffs this time around

We had record earnings in Q3 yet still laid off 4,000 employees.
We crushed our earnings numbers in May. Still cut 4000.
