Is anyone’s office Management not enforcing RTO 5 days a week? My office, people come and go, no one ever works a full day, and bosses still let people work from home whenever they need to. Meanwhile I am in there everyday working a full day, full time schedule. WTF is going on with this company??? Total joke of a place. I heard some managers definitely not enforcing this new policy.

@k9 fill me in! Was it super long? I’m assuming that’s what you mean. Lol
@ag i’m not sure what floor you’re on nor do I want to even ask, but I will say that the floor that I am on the people are coming in. I guess it just depends on the manager that you have.
I actually get a good chuckle at the mid day shuttle line outside of One PNC
@gq work for your day was the official policy in Technology and more work than ever was accomplished. RTO has only ki-led morale and caused a huge hit to performance along with experienced people leaving the company in droves. It’s not 1985 anymore
Some of you in comments need to wake up. Theres a level of complying in fear of losing ones job, but the amt of kissassery is nuts. Then again, these are the people they want to keep, yes men. Looks weak af
Honestly at this point I just want clarity on what the real policy actually is. 5 days clearly isn’t it if half the building comes and goes as they please. HR didn’t help by linking an FAQ on flexibility instead of a clear standard, so now it’s a free-for-all on interpretation and everyone’s guessing what’s actually required. That said, the personal attacks on people whose managers told them to be flexible are out of line, that’s not on them, that’s a vague policy and inconsistent management. Direct the frustration at leadership for not enforcing one clear standard, not at coworkers following what their own manager told them to do.
Our city tax locations went back to the big cities. Big cities are getting their taxes again, so the pressure is off. That seems to be what really mattered... doesn't matter if we are in the office or at home.
@cv I take pride in everything I do, and yeah I like the bank and work hard to contribute to its success. Unpopular view perhaps but people like me would rather people like you just say your goodbyes and retreat to an airline customer service call center.
@dy just spitballing here but if your job is just “staring at a screen all day” then maybe you need a new start. Find something a little more valuable to the stockholders perhaps. Come next round of cuts, screen-staring and “working for your day” are skills we don’t need.
@cb “work for your day”?? What kind of new BS is that? Shades of “dress for your day”. You all with your new ways of being independent and sticking it to the man. I’d love to see how any business you run does when you let your employees “work for their day”. SMH.
@dr it seems really pointless to go in to stare at your screen all day, not have any meaningful team events or plannings when you could do the same thing at home and be more productive because you aren’t wasting time commuting. Life is to short to worry about complying to some RTO policy leadership has set zero guidelines for.
@dp yep. This is why I am trying to comply majority of the time. I would rather comply and see what happens, than not and take that risk. It is super $hitty when you make the effort to come in and the rest of your team decides to work remote.
The scary part is being laid off. If that wasnt a possibility, i think most that go in wouldnt. Interesting so many people are willing to gamble. This is getting very tiring though, morale is an all time low
Haha youre actually going in?? What a nerd
@OP Does your boss track you coming in the office? If not, why are you still showing up? Why do you care what other people do?
Nearly everyone has quietly quit. It's quite astounding really, never seen anything like this.
Sorry, but if you are still taking pride in working for sh---y PNC, you are a massive, massive bootlicker.
@c1 or you could just “work for your day” and if you want to go in 5 days a week to in an office than have at it. Those with kids and families who have over hour long commutes to office will work for our day.
This is a major issue in the employee survey. And it’s not just bothering “bootlickers” who are given thousands of dollars every other Friday for doing a job they take pride in…. Managers are torn because they want to adhere to the CEO or agree with in-office presence but see other managers not enforcing. That ki-ls morale, creates distracting conflicts, and just wastes time and energy.
I work in 2 PNC and barely half of the seats are full on any given day. Fridays are a ghost town. Keep in mind that just about every seat in the building is allocated. If your manager isn't enforcing RTO, you don't need to come in every day or stay the whole day.
You seem determined to bootlick, no matter the context clues provided by those around you.
Accept that this is your choice and stop concerning yourself with others, that may not share your taste for shoe leather.
