I am hearing more layoffs from my manager on the network side coming in October. Regions will be combined to reduce head count.

@b1 gawd, this is soooo true. Still amazes me they don't get called out for it...
@bf we haven’t owned towers in a long time. 95% of our sites are co-locations on others towers.
Sad but true. We will own the airwaves but not the infrastructure that supports it. The initiative is to decrease network real estate holdings by 50% to "sub-locations" by Q2 2027. The majority of network layoffs will happen then.
in GTS, when 1) you have "Yes man" and 2) every deck has only "good" news and 3) so called "leaders" is not asking right question due to lack of knowledge or mgmt skills -- you are seeing grand failure. namedropping is common :-)
@ap similar reality in TD: 3~4 for an AD, 3~4 for a SD, 5~6 for a VP.

I'm hearing any manager with less than 15 under them will be cut.

I saw start will every 'leader' in GTS, on and off shore. Then the new people will see what a mess they've made of things. They have zero people skills and even less common sense. Their recipe for success is to deliver through intimidation and fear. They inspire no one.
@a9 my team has a crew of highly paid (6 figures) contractors that are USELESS!! And our leaders see it and keep them on. I guess to make their teams look larger…meanwhile the few remaining employees are slammed with all of the work.

Yes I am hearing same thing. After moratorium may be after October 3rd week. Seriously these vendor companies are waste and they are providing low quality people. Our management also supporting them.
I heard they're looking at lowest level managers having 35 to 40 craft each under them.

Well the cuts better be AD and above. Us slobs at the bottom can’t keep up and merging markets doesn’t lessen work at our level. They need to look at planning and HQ teams that have only 3 or 4 reports under AD”s and only 2 or 3 ADs reporting to SD’s!!
