yes I have also lost it on friday. I am part of BTS. Market appears to be tough
well i just got laid off today. not friday but tuesday. the sunshine state. But I am OK i can retire. Sarah Londor hope your are next.
@aq almost 4pm in STL.. no cuts. Guess you were 100% wrong - who knew. But try again. Let's see you post Monday - "found out going to get cut Monday". Then, "found out going to get cut Tuesday".... on and on...
Never fire or layoff anyone on a Friday. It’s a je-k thing to do and managers who delay that long shouldn’t be leading people. If they knew on Friday you can bet they knew days before and were dragging their feet in having an uncomfortable conversation.
It’s terrible to take away someone’s job and then make them sit all weekend and think about it.
What time should I expect to be cut today?
@a1 all BTS project and program managers not sitting under the BTS shared services PMO, will be cut.

IT under one team project. I am really depressed after been here for last 10 yrs in healh net. Not easy to find job.

And yes Friday afternoon is a well known day to walk people out quietly accompanied by security and management. You better believe it! That was in the office though of course.
Plus I was a leader at one point so I should know! Oh also just the other day a PL was let go on a Friday afternoon. It's like dang they are going to get every last minute of work out of us. Ugh

It's not true. Nobody knows yet I suggest you look at your schedule all the way through September and see if you have a schedule all the way through
@ac clearly you have no idea what you say. I've done 5+ cuts myself over 4 years -- never Friday at 2pm. That's crazy talk - you prob don't even work here. LOL
If you really were cut you would have given more information. I don’t believe it.

Cuts have never occured on a Friday. I did hear PL's are getting emails from HR rolling out the communications - for PL's with cuts. If you're a PL with no cuts, there is nothing to do, so most are in the dark. If there are cuts, as many have said, it's likely going to be next Wed or Thursday. And if history is the same, they will do all at the same time - and not have this last more than a week.
@OP I don’t understand why ppl make your comment as negative. What does that have to do with the info you shared? Guess what? I heard the same from some PLs. Not mine and not just one. Is it sad? Certainly but it is the truth. It’s coming just like it was said during the London Calling. Prayers to all!
HR should notify PL by end of this week and I would assume it would happen next week.

Seems to me no one really knows until they have the dreaded meeting invite!

Respectfully, why would you come here in these scary and trying times, drop that tiny morsel of information and then disappear and not respond to anyone? Nobody expects you to divulge your actual role but at least your department would be helpful. I wouldn’t be surprised if what you’re saying is true but this post gives fear mongering.
