I am very curious how a company like Dell, where layoffs happen almost every Monday, even survive for so long?! How do we support our products and quality?

@b2 had a manager years ago say "Dell is cream of the cr-p"
It's not always sales that determines the company's sustainability, though it is a heavy contributor. There's also a matter of investment into the company. Trump is practically good buddies with Michael Dell. It's difficult to really know whether that relationship is mutualistic or symbiotic.
There is no oversight of products and quality when you are constantly laying people off. It's all about the bottom line. As long as shareholders see the stock rising, everything is A-O-K.
first line of support is outsourced to the likes of capGemini more and more. The state of service that these guys provide is laughable. When it eventually comes to actual Dell support (usually weeks later) the customer is already fuming. Yet still they keep laying off experienced people with years of excellent product support.
All employees are cogs.. there’s always young kids graduating and eager to get broke in and once they pull the wool from their eye lids then there is another group… it’s a never ending copy/paste scenario…dell still gets paid no matter your personal circumstance….
Dell is drastically moving from a U.S. & Europe based Company to India.
Most of the layoffs are usually sales or countries the support price is outrageous
