I joined in 2021 and lost my position 2025 due to a layoff. I came from State Farm. I regret leaving for more money. Has there been a point of time where T-Mobile was even stable. I'm embarrassed to even have this company name on my CV anymore.

Op - you joined at the worst possible time. Prior to the sprint merger the company wasn’t so bad
@f1 I see ~1800 in Overland Park, fewer but quite a few in Frisco, even fewer in Bellevue, Parippany, and Sandy Springs. So if you're not a convicted s-x offender, there are jobs available.

@OP Yes there have been quite a few decades. Now what has caused a lot of layoffs were new business strategies that created departments that people flocked to looking for quick upward mobility. Mobilestar (WiFi provider) and Layer3 TV are the easiest to identify. Everyone that moved over to support them were layed off.
@ag there was one in like, 2018 or somewhere in that timeframe where a lot of really low performing people got cut, it was less a layoff, more a company wide house cleaning but it happened

Yes, before the Sprint merger. From 2002 to 2020. There was only 1 layoff. After the Att/ Tmus merger wasnt approved. i cant recall exact year. Been so long. The successive layoffs started 2 years after the Sprint /tmus merger and or After the original Chief Technology Neville Ray retired. Then most upper management started retiring or got laid off. Layoff trickled down the chain which started 2 x a year :March or Apr then also Aug/Sept. This frequent layoff was exactly similar of what happened in Sprint. Non stop layoff.
