@OP I think it has been well established that there is NO standard - it is up to your manager or director who likely doesn't have to go in themselves but will either give you a pass or ride you hard and put you away wet.

The policy is called "favortism"

@ee I could be mistaken but pretty certain each work computer is setup to use dynamic ip addresses, not static ip addresses. So, not really sure what you are saying is true. I mean, you might think it is because someone told you that but it may not really be true.

At a minimum, log into your computer - don’t just use the bathroom and go. They’re not actively monitoring IP addresses and whatnot today but IT has that data; they can tell when and where you log into your work computer.

I’ve heard that this information was used in a dispute over an associate’s compliance in the hybrid policy. Managers don’t have access to that information at their fingertips but in situations where it comes into question / attendance becomes a problem, the data can be requested.

@b1

You can shave that down to 45 seconds if you "forget" to flush

This very question was asked just a couple of weeks ago. Were those responses not acceptable?

@ab This is the person you were asking if I was being sarcastic. Maybe my message did not come iff clearly but I was in total agreement with you about the favoritism going on and that it should be denounced.

@a7 Wait, are you being sarcastic now? Different rules do apply to certain associates. One associate can bully coworkers, constantly interrupt and talk over people in meetings and do whatever they want with no consequences and continue to get promoted, while anyone who calls out the bad behavior gets riffed. This place runs on favoritism.

@a2 Love the sarcasm as to the hypocrisy and injustice and very bad leadership in not treating associates without any hint of favoritism.

Had to say it because in this day and age leaders or HR could have thought your comment was meant seriously as though somehow anyone could think that having customized treatments for different associates is acceptable.

I stay for 2 hours. I’ve seen people leave after 1.

Depends on your manager. Isn’t it awesome having different rules for different associates?
