Recent Town Hall someone asked about more layoffs and the answer was clear - Enbridge isn’t doing any more mass layoffs. So they told us what we want to hear but they are just playing games. They are doing micro layoffs instead and just keeping quiet about it.

@OP 100% true that company has no respect for employees. Laying them off for stupid reasons!
@1dx hahaha yeah I’m aware that we don’t make money off of the commodity price directly but we do, indirectly. Since we move expensive and hazardous material we get to charge a lot of money to do that. Ergo, the commodity price is highly related to how much money we make…you should know that.
@jx Enbridge doesn’t make money off of commodity prices, you should know this.
@fc we don’t know how to train, we don’t know how to develop, we don’t know how to have hard conversations. This company continues to operate not because of good management or efficiencies but because the product(s) that we carry are so high in profit margin it almost doesn’t matter what we do so long as the pipes stay open.
@b9 we talk a good game but we aren’t good at developing people. We seem to think everyone is either good or should be fired. It’s the Alberta way I suppose. I’ve had a few good leaders here but equally as many bad.
I said that back in 2025 that company became the most hated oil and gas company btw everyone who left or bwwn laid off dont wanna evee go back.
I wish I would get laid off. These golden handcuffs are hurting my wrists.
As a recently acquired US employee, it’s been surprising how quickly and how anxious my Canadian overlords are to fire people. There’s a lot of a--holes that work for us. There also seems to be a lack of intelligence in middle management, as if they have no clue how we actually operate and earn money as a regulated utility.
