@kh Technically your severance period is through a certain future date (weeks based on years of tenure) . My UE was declined until that date (January 2027) . But you can always apply and they can always tell you no.

@bw I live in Florida. It's actually $550 x 2 ($1100/month). I think you meant to say $550 every two weeks. If all you're getting is $550 month, you need to go back to the DOE because someone sc--wed up.

Pretty useless. I’ve not availed myself of it but I understand in Fl you get max 550 each month (taxable) and last like 30 weeks. Insult to injury OU have login to some clunky system circa 90’s and document you applied to 5 employers a week

If you received severance it's after the severance period date.
As soon as you are outside of the 60/90 day period….that is when paychecks stop and are officially considered unemployed
