Lol big cope. Big cope in this entire thread. I have met so many “men” who moved to Bakersfield, Midland, Houston and their familes didny want to go or didnt want to go. So cringe when they let it slip that they picked a decaying company. I even once laughed in someones face when he picked a Chevron job and had to get rid of his dogs for it. You people are nuts or are such talentless wonders maybe you should be hanging onto your job for dear life.

I think OP got dumped by their husband when he got a promotion and now they're upset

The most absurd thing about posts like these is the OPs thinking that their anecdotes are unique to Chevron and that it could only happen at CVX and nowhere else. You guys need to get out a bit more. Talk to some people from other companies and other industries.

Maybe those marriages weren't all that spectacular to begin with.

@bx because with Chevron's managers and leaders its never 9-5. They push the BS mentality that you have to be constantly all in so you can be as miserable as them (small difference is that your misery is compensated way less than theirs).

Why does the person have to choose between the 2? If it's not a 9 to 5 at Chevron, it will be a 9 to 5 elsewhere. People need money and a job to put food on the table unless they've saved enough to never have to work again.

@OP there are hundreds of examples of this I have seen worldwide over the years..... Not just a 'guy' thing either.....
