Imagine the amount of RIFS that could’ve been saved if these people like GM take a pay cut for the incompetence. Sadly accountability doesn’t exist in this company. And instead they get raises.

GM is a tone deaf id--t to sink the company stock, compensating for his poor leadership and performance through mass layoff cost cutting, arguably being one of if not the worst CEO the company has ever had AND accept a HUGE raise (by any regular employee’s standards).
It’s time for employees to stage a mass walk out until he resigns. That won’t happen, but it should.

@k7 Exactly my sentiments. He sends out 600 emails/month extolling how ethical the company is, then, mismanaged the biologics unit in Eatontown, NJ over the past decade. No real leadership.
Geoff is the CEO of the world's largest medical device manufacturer, managing through an incredibly complex supply chain, regulatory landscape, and product pipeline, so it is expected he would make millions. That being said, this is pretty egregious and tone deaf considering what is happening at the company. I think it is evident now he was not the right choice to lead the company and is largely considered not a good CEO internally. He's a CEO doing CEO things getting paid CEO money, but he is not a leader.

GM tanks the stock and makes money hand over fist. It was not insignificant that CFO Karen Parkhill voted with her feet.
3 people. So now the rest of my team are doing the job of those 3 people on top of our responsibilities. Fun times especially learning that GM made $27 million.
