VP HR personally weighing in Ni/NSI by BL. What you are told as % likely isn't the truth. It's more. Today VG is tomorrows NI.

Cut until you break it is such a dangerous game to play in this industry.

Basic competency doesn’t exist which results in safety incidents. Then safety incidents are viewed as a failure of culture

So we keep cutting people because we have a culture problem??

Reduce HC10 by 10%
Increase BTC by 10% and move to new building to accommodate the increase and prepare for annual increases

We can assume that we are a commodity business based on "regular employee headcount" since 1999.

1999 123,000 0%

2000 99,600 19%

2005 83,700 32%

2010 83,600 32%

2015 73,500 40%

2020 72,000 41%

2025 58,000 53%

Yes, the numbers include all "regular full time employees" including the Bengaluru Technology Center.

Copilot Search

ExxonMobil’s Bengaluru Technology Center (BTC) — part of its Global Capability Center network — has more than 900 technologists across various disciplines

This figure includes staff from the BTC and the Bengaluru Research and Development Technology Center (BRDTC), which together support ExxonMobil’s global oil and gas operations, including sites in Guyana, Australia, and U.S. carbon capture and storage projects, as well as CCS and hydrogen initiatives in Asia Pacific

The BTC was established in 2017 and has grown significantly since its inception, reflecting ExxonMobil’s investment in India’s technical talent pool to drive innovation in energy, sustainability, and materials science

Depends on where you’re, 10-20%
Headcount target is a moving one, if we acquire Shell assets, it will go up to 50k, if not ~48k by end of 2027
