I am being told by my band 3 managing director that Merrill will be 4 days in office, regardless of location or office/assigned seat/flex seat. Client facing areas may be 5 days in office if they are not already.

I bet Q4 expenses will be down (finally). Bank analysts applaud, management rejoices.
Behold the Master Plan.
(sux for us, so I just quit)
You can thank Fidelity for the 5 day sh1t. They are going back in Sept 100% and the corporate overlords are trying to make everyone come back in and saying look this company is going back. Don't take this sh1t.
Don't forget BOA managers. if you have an assigned office, you must now be in the office 4 days per week with the door closed.
@cs I would be done because there is zero reason to continue working here, anywhere else is going to be 5 days or less so why bother.
@ck if you have an assigned office at least you can concentrate. I would come in 4 days if I had an office. Way to loud in the corral. God help me if I have to come in 5. Sick of hearing about the personal lives of everyone on this floor.
@b7 exactly right. Go ahead and start looking for employment elsewhere if you don’t want 5 days in office, folks, because it’s coming.
@b7 I totally agree. How does someone explain why just because someone has an assigned seat they have to go into the office four days? Not really fair to them. I think the ultimate goal is to bring everyone in five days, or at least four, and they are just trying to figure out the seating space until then.
Everyone will be 5 days by 2027. The only reason everyone isn't now is lack of seats in certain markets.
