Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

How is the RTO going?

In my location nothing has changed. Desks with names printed on paper are still empty? So what was the point of this useless exersise other than to take away the last flex day for the de-valued teammates required to be in desks 40 hours? I hope leadership doesnt expect their gaslightling attempt to boost morale. Empty desks with a green circle speak for themselves.

RTO can best be summed up as commuting to the office to work remote. We sit on teams calls all day with individuals spread across multiple locations. Good article

@f0 then give yourself permission to do so. WTF can the manager say that’s doing the same??

@cs Make sure you take your sick days, they're gone at the end of the year if you don't.

Don't come in sick, let them feel the pressure from their policies.

@fx ah yes typical easy to give response when the whole job market is in the toilet. Even if nothing changes its all about letting it known that RTO mandate is still a forced, nonsensical and bullsh-t mandate. Here's a thought if YOU dont like to read these things how about you not read these threads and leave US alone.

Looks like Truist senior leaders are visiting this site based on the responses. If you’re one of them, with no due disrespect, you can su-k my kcid.

@a5 boo hoo! Stop bchildish: “well, they got this! And they got that!” Sound like a spoiled child. If the fake COVID lockdowns hadn’t happened, you would be at the office with your rear in a seat at a desk. Get over it already. Grow up

My team gets our work done and no one cares where we are when we do it. Sometimes we're in, sometimes we're out. Work gets done.

I love coming into the office 5 days a week when my manager works from home and refuses to allow us to stagger wfh one day from 12 pm to 5 pm. It’s really annoying when you see people in the same department but under another manager leave EVERY DAY at noon.

@a3 what’s wrong with you? Yes, mentally it can be stressful and hard to focus. Physically, my whole team has been sick and passing something around for the last two weeks!! Butts in seats though!

@a3 Actually yes. Having a manager who allows one local teammate to work remotely while making another local teammate go through an EXTREMELY STRESSFUL HR process is borderline discrimination so please shut your trap if you haven't been there.

Only one on my team required to RTO in January and the rest are still working from home. Makes no sense whatsoever

@a3

Your incessant bootlicking is business abnormal. May want to see a specialist for that...

The contractors all got to go back to WFH since they weren't given desks. That's all that changed for us. Still zero collaboration, still everyone sitting at their desk on calls with people who aren't in this building.

It's just like the management failure that is sapience tracking. If you need to test for mouse movement instead of productivity you've already failed. If you can only build a process around people being in a building it really shows a lack of forward thinking.

Heck, we've lost a few people to head hunters who offered them a pay cut but also full time wfh as different companies. 🤷

What's wrong with you? Why are you keep talking about this RTO thing? Did it hurt you physical or mental health? Anything strange for RTO? RTO is business normal.
