Anyone know what areas, teams, or business units the 10/8 round will be focused on?

@1jp These Hilton IT guys want to run HealthCare company like a hotel :) I remember one of the senior leaders sarcastically said they came from Hotel when Noel and Kakka came to Cigna
@1ej new EviCore CIO is also from Hilton. Must be some weird cult.
@1ej
1 down vote, Kakka is that you?
The main problem with Cigna IT is that it is taken over by Indians (not the ones like Pachi and Nadela, who have significant loyality to USA) who appear to want to send all jobs to India. Their loyality is India and not USA. The CIO used to be in Hilton earlier. Anywhere these people go they completely mess up the company and employees
@jp +100 izzat has been deposited into your cousin’s consultancy
@19b Upcoming layoffs are reportedly targeting non-Indian employees while sparing their relatives and family members.
@191 IT is already fully gutted, its already basically all indians at this point.
IT for sure, there are no doubts about it.
Just keep looking at all the jobs they keep posting in India within the careers site. That’s a good indicator where they are focusing their attention and potential job cuts.
@hg Workers are an expendable commodity. I liken it to a line from the first terminator movie,
"It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear, and it absolutely will not stop...ever, until you are..." laid off.
@pm The question is how many jobs can HIH take and AI replace? I used to think about 10 years ago they couldn't cut anymore that they had already cut to the bone in the one area I worked. But they will take the bone and everything else. Time to go.
@k4 IT has already been laid off so much during the previous rounds of layoffs. How much more can they cut?
@k4 at least they’re not doing it the week of Labor Day? Layoffs - a great way to celebrate American workers!
IT, as in GI&O in general, or something more specific?
@jp I heard a definite for IT. Not just a rumor. It's gonna happen after Labor Day which is a non-pay week 9/10 with a 30 day notification period - final day would be 10/9. The question is will you make another round of cuts. Terrible to live this way. I'm of the opinion it wouldn't be all that bad for me at this point.
@jn Just a rumour
Is it a confirmed news?or just a rumor?
@hf Yeah, it is almost as though all these health insurance executives think us workers are mindless drones moving boxes from one side of the room to another and then back again.
@ds+ Yes. But keep in mind for the 5-6k US employees laid off, they will hire at least 1-2k Indians, if not more. They aren’t trying to reduce the overall workforce substantially, just payroll. But the more they do that the more kindly raise concern of the same to do the needful.
@ds Around 10% have already been laid off. Another 10% on top of that would be insane. It would be very hard for some teams to even function. I don’t know if the 10% target is accurate but I’m personally aware of 6 people who were laid off over the past months so clearly the job cuts are still very much going on.
@cy 10%?? Isn’t that like 5k-6k employees?
From what I’ve heard, the company has a target of laying off 10% of the workforce throughout Q4 2026 - Q1 2027. It’s being spread out to be monthly from what I have gathered.
If you work in digital this all makes sense as there is a massive push from leadership to complete the replatforming to Evernorth.
@ax Evanko? That you?
When you need to know something, you'll be informed.
