It's more apparent these days that the increase in promotions at these levels are DEI/High School education level versus College Educated/Non DEI.
Tracking with this observation is results are decreasing as education/meritocracy gets devalued.

It’s hard to lead when you’re handicap. When you try to do things differently and results start showing you get cut at the legs with budget cuts. There’s always somebody above you trying to make a name from themselves. Real leadership comes from a combination of education experience, and knowing how to read people. Everybody doesn’t have it, but those who have it are often criticize for something. Think about AI how many executive leaders have AI experience? AI will not solve all our problems but it’s a great tool when you put in in the hands of people who have the years of knowledge.
The reality is I have had 4 awesome VPs.
2 Black males, 1 Female White and 1 White male. All extremely educated.
The issue is how DEI replaced educated, results driven meritocracy.
DEI provided a false cover and has ruined Vz. It's that simple.
Meritocracy wins on rhe field and in conference rooms.
Majority of DEI hires were females whites. Are you a self hating white?

AD daily schedules meetings at 5pm, 99% monologue, enjoys trashing our teamother people, meeting go over 2-3 hours. This man is a narcist. He knows some about network engineering but has ZERO leadership skills.
@OP .... my friend, at Verizon, there are thousands of people who frame their video conference call with entire walls in the background covered in degrees, diplomas, and useless certificates.
These are the exact same people I wouldn't trust to take my trash to the curb.
My boss holds an undisclosed number of degrees. Hardworking guy, but as far as for leadership, critical and independent thinking, charisma ... he is below the survival line, when he talks to his higher-ups displays the same authority of a delivery boy
