Title change

I noticed my title changed. Is there a pay change also? Are there ever increases mid year?

@dc it’s actually the opposite. A title change from avp to vp doesn’t mean a salary increase. You may get one because of your review - 2%? But there’s real money increase if you change rolls or go to the next level in the same job. Example file clerk and then to senior file clerk brings a salary increase.

@dc officer title changes are not tied to salary

Raises are not strictly tied to title (corporate or functional) changes. Pay is tied to how you're rated with exceeds getting most of the money. If you got a title promotion it's likely you received an exceeds which means you're likely to get more money but again they're not directly tied.

Generally, your manager will stack rank their teams and pay the top the highest.

If you went from AVP to VP or similar, you generally do get a pay raise, but just a functional title change, nope.

You notice it changed? Did they even discuss it with you before they changed it?
