For several years I have exceeded all on every metric DW didn’t ’k Ow my name’ and didn’t approve a promotion. Which, wtf? I was working, not schmoozing. Now I hear HR is not only not approving, but not responding to managers on promotions which were submitted months ago. I understand this company wants to keep all costs down, but is there really some moratorium on growth? Or is it only those under CAPS? I don’t want to leave, but….

Promotion?! Don't hold your breath. I was promied once. Took them about a year to do the paperwork and get 5% raise (vs. 3% annual). Don't believe anything until your paycheck changes.
@OP I just got promoted with a 54% pay adjustment. They said I was doing exceptional work and that I was hired under the mininum for the market. whatever that means. I'm now at $49K per year. I struck gold $$$$$$$$$$$$$$
So if you don't want to get promoted then this is a good thing?
He was head of FIG for a while. One of his names is also the name of a color. Choosing something that vaguely rhymes with his name would be an ugly fight.
If those aren't enough clues, then you don't know this leader.
Who is DW?
My experience was that I was given a promotion, but took 18 months to take effect. That year it took effect I got my promotion and bump in pay, they also refused to do merit increase. That's pretty normal, but the raise/promotion was not much more than the raise, so it's like I got my merit a little early (2-3%) bump. I left f-serv, got a 28% pay increase with the new company. I got a merit increase the first year, and second year got a promotion and another 22% bump in pay. Best choice I ever made, leaving f-serv.

DW is a strong leader and is respected by clients across the industry, unlike the low IQ disgruntled people on this chain.
I’ve been here 5 years and every promotion is a fight and a behind the scenes deal. You have to basically tell them you will quit if they don’t promote. They can do it if they try.

DW is a fraud. He knows nothing about the Industry or how things should work
It’s been noted on here several times that unless you’re in the same building as the execs (those brought in by FB) the job you currently have is the job you will always have.
If under DW as posts mentions… no way it will happen. He only takes care of “his” people… most corrupt leader. I am so surprised how he keads this board on bad comments and stays employed
I've been there over a decade. among. the top performers on my team - reviews have always been meets or higher (mostly exceeds)
not one promotion, despite expressing that I feel I deserve one to my managers (I've had multiple over the years).
they've hired people onto my team with a higher grade.
I've found another job outside of finance / fintech. giving my 2 weeks on Monday.
Fiserv always seems to have a hiring freeze more frequently than the time it takes for a promotion to go through.
When they do try to submit a promotion, it needs a manager's approval. But they are on vacation in Hawaii that week. When they get back, it will need a different manager's approval. Who just so happens to be in Hawaii that week. And then when they get back, there will be a third manager who also happens to be on vacation in Hawaii. But before they get back Fiserv will have another hiring freeze and the process will need to start over from the beginning.
The best way to get promoted is to start as a new employee at another company with a higher title.
I haven't seen anyone promoted in years, even had a manager leave because they couldn't get any promotions approved.
