What’s your estimate of how likely it is that we’ll have layoffs in November??? I know that nobody is certain, curious to hear what people are thinking.

I've seen layoffs almost monthly for years. Why people keep talking about possible dates? Just assume any day, like tomorrow, someone you heard of gets laid off. Same site, different site. People waste time asking if "August is layoff month" or "November is layoff month." Any amount of people on any day can be laid off. Stop wasting your time on projections.

Layoffs every month. Slow bleed so Dell doesn’t make the news, keeping stock prices high.
@aj Seen this pattern after every merger (Dell included): replace expensive people with cheaper ones, expect magic. What actually happens? Junior people can't move accounts because seniors are still there blocking them. Revenue stagnates. That's when quiet quitting starts. It's not about age, it's about whether someone adds value
Yes, there will be more in Q4. Dell is now actively laying off higher paid employees and replacing them with younger less experienced ones because they can pay less and they are less likely to push back on job demands. I have watched the best colleagues leave both voluntarily and involuntary. If you can find something better, I would say leave. Otherwise, quiet quit like everyone else is doing. This company will run you into the ground if you let them.
At this stage Dell does no longer do 2 big waves of layoffs. It's a continuous process, which in addition now attempts to alienate as many of the employees to a degree where they leave voluntarily, cause they can't take that BS no more.
Had seen several well performing colleagues leave, just due to that. They didn't have any other Job lined up, they just reached a point where for their own health had to quit. And just so many people quiet quitting.
