Aug 7th VP of HR - "MM" was terminated. and none of us believe it was justified.

HR - VP MM was not a hack but terminated for knowing where all the bodies are buried and not falling in line with the new Liars in charge. She was well liked and worked at this company for more than 20 years. You are the Hack, who probably have been at the company for a few years and your social media job is to try and put out misinformation. SVP/General Manager - "ER" terminated for orchestrating a me too cover up
Chief People Officer and former VP of HR - "JH" terminated for complicity in cover up
Central VP "JM" - accused of the me too event
VP of K12 "DM" terminated and was a pawn and has no clue what happened
VP of K-12 and former VP of Higher ED "WM" - terminated but was a clueless pawn
Sr. District Mgr in Central Division "DM" terminated for stupidity and using meetings for playtime.
President of K12 "ML" complicit and saw writing on the wall but ran before termination.
Countless reps terminated for only talking about what they heard about the Me Too situation.
@zs there is nothing evolving here. We have people running the company that literally do not understand how several lines of their businesses work, after blowing up those companies and throwing them into cengage. There is no strategy, no plan. Reps are being tasked with selling things they have no business selling.
@10j bruh - this from someone who likely isn’t even at the company anymore. Probably one of the relics that was eliminated. Maybe channel that energy into blowing up your new company, or could you not find a new job because your skills aren’t up to snuff. @zs what’s strange comment. Cengage isn’t evolving.Its flailing and looking to point fingers. They’ve burnt down the house, made a big bet and now are confronting a “Now what?” Moment. The problem is as was commented earlier by someone else, they keep making these bets and repeating history…wheel in new executives, new big initiatives, then the inevitable failure. Pivot, repeat, repeat again. The characters keep changing but the movie keeps rerunning
@vc evolve or die, that is a mantra used by the best companies. Shame you think that the company should stay stagnant with achieve relics of the past. VP-MM was a hack, good riddance - they should keep throwing out the garbage. Keep up the good work
Yes, in Vegas MH was asked directly about the IPO, and he did a Simi- deflection. The question was were do things stand with the IPO, his response was there are many areas/departments that need improvement to get things were they need to be so the IPO can move forward.
He didn't say the IPO was dead, or not happening. and the individuals in the room received the statement as certain departments are holding up the IPO. This is per the usual with MH, its always someone else who is at fault.
On another note, KT in HR is on a mission to change anything that doesn't make sense. If it has been in place for years and years, you better be prepared to answer why? Or she is cutting it. Long time HR employee VP- MM position has been eliminated.
Everyone believes that Barbwire and MJ are up next for the chopping block.

Now that we are going into the Quiet period and MGT and ET will go into hiding ,,, i plan to work the bare minimum in August, just like i do in December. Time to get free days off without using PTO !

The IPO will be in Financial Lockdown stage sometime between August 7th and October 30th (( most likely during August).

Death, taxes and a new pivot at Cengage! AND a revolving cast of characters at the top. If you think about it they all get fired and replaced with clockwork regularity. The longer they last ,the more certain their execution. Only MH seems to be the constant, but maybe he is finally on the block.
Well they do have a tendency never to acknowledge sc--w ups and talk about "the new big thing" as if its the answer to all our problems. Nothing is ever uttered about the last one or the one before that.
Its like they never existed.

That was a good one. Everything was oriented around corporate learning and "legacy businesses" like Higher Ed were pledged to provide stability and revenue so workforce solutions could revolutionize the company.....
There were a lot of these over the years!
Now the IPO is fading into memory no doubt another one is just around the corner.
