Why does this seem to be dragging out? I thought after the announcement in June we would know something by now . . . anything. Where does this effort stand and what magnitude of affect will it have on FTEs

@en yes people really dislike PM. Like she fired everyone who was working remote while simultaneously hiring her brother-in-law and allowing him to work remotely (there was supposed to be no exceptions). And mainly she’s just not good at her job. I remember she was late to her very first town hall because she got stuck in traffic. Imagine not taking that seriously enough to get to the office early. IT may be VERY diverse now, but I don’t think that’s what COP was going for with DEI, to trade the good old boys club with a different exclusive cultural club.
@dc only forgot one part: costs will improve but the difference will be spent on some AI slop no one asked for that ITLT discovered on their quarterly vacation to Silicon Valley
@en she worked with the Chevron CIO. All cut from the same cloth, so just look at Chevron’s playbook and it’ll be what happen here.
Chevron IT has gotten so bad that they moved all of the Houston IT employees to the Hess building after that acquisition. Chevron IT doesn’t even sit with the rest of the company anymore. That speaks volumes on what that CIO has done.
No need for rumors or news, the moment COP hired an Indian CIO it was all set it motion. A bunch of people are going to get laid off and service levels will tank and costs will temporarily improve or just be shifted onto the business units. The CIO will leave and a new one (white guy probably) will come in and “fix” it with the help of millions of dollars to consulting firms.
