Thread regarding Medtronic Inc. layoffs

Love Medtronic!

Hello everyone! Hope you are all happy and healthy! I was part of the RIF that occurred last May and to say the least I am still a faithful employee .Over the past 25 years this company has helped me raise my kids, put food on my table and paid my bills on time . I have loved and hated my job but at the end of the day , still happy to have one. I have met some of the best people which in return made me a better person . You know who you are and I will always be forever thankful to U . What is there to complain about but only to be grateful..No job is perfect but if are still working for this company , consider yourself “Blessed’’. Farewell Medtronic and god bless you always! ❤️🙏

@nb MSP is going the way of Detroit and other places from times past. Not safe to live, not safe for business, grift and fraud are out of control and accepted, criminals not held accountable and the good are the ones chastised. It is in slow decay and those of us that recognize this are planning our way out of the area.

Apparently the MN hates the truth based on the downvotes that called them entitled.

@mb agreed. Minnesota workers are the best. Kind, smart, thoughtful. The rest of the world could learn a lot from them.

@jj bingo. Other OUs have spent decades refining their processes for their products. Let’s drop a top down requirements hammer on them for efficiency. That’ll go well.

I blame GOSC. They want standardization to make dashboards easier to update. GOSC gets what gosc wants.

My Minnesota coworkers are the only ones who consistently get anything done. They all deserve big raises.

@gj

Yes!! They think their procedures are perfect. Therefore, they are forcing other OUs to follow them. Then they get mad when we can’t because our products are completely different from what MN works on.

Is it me or have others noticed in meeting with our MN coworkers they have this weird "chip on their shoulders" attitude. Maybe its from reading posts on this website. Or they feel entitled and every one outside MN is inferiors . IDK thoughts?

@f4 There is corruption everywhere but MSP is one of the front runners for sure. It is part of the culture and society there now and it is undermining, taking advantage and destroying the high trust environment that created everything. Ferreting out the corruption is going to be much harder than many realize.

@er The quality is measurably worse. Document it and run it up the chain to the VPs. Done this more than once only to be told by the VP we have contract. Make it work. And then get penalized for what is out of your control and choices by management.

@eb It's obvious Minnesota voters don't care about fraud and corruption in Minnesota. They simply ingore it and let it happen.

@eb the negative Medtronic is experiencing comes from replacing American jobs with offshore service centers. I feel it daily in my work

@bg I totally agree with you ! And who wouldn’t be miserable living there.. Watch the news and you’ll see the fraud that’s going on in that state . Despite of all that you should be thankful Medtronic gave you a job. Keep up the nasty attitude and Karma will take care of you!

@c4 Thanks you so much ! It was my wish to leave one day so I could take care of my 90 yr old mom. For 3 yrs everyone knew my plan but gods plan was better than mine and made it happen in his perfect time. I am so grateful to him and Medtronic! 🥹❤️🙏
