For those who got a separation date past September are you actually planning on sticking it out? I’m so torn since my separation is for May 2027. I had planned on hopefully getting the VSP with a separation in September. Now to be stuck in limbo until May with trying to meet performance and having it held over my head that I can be let go without a package at any time. I honestly regret accepting the VSP and wish I would’ve taken my chances at being laid off.

@a8 my PL. Send email to Julie Carew and tell her you want to withdrawal your VSP. It was announced in a PL meeting. If your PL did not tell you, that is not my fault. I do not spread BS
I have a friend that is a case manager for the behavioral health team and her VSP separation date is Nov 2027. She is ready to retire and doesn’t understand why she has to wait so long to leave.
My date is 08/2027 and I keep asking myself can I make it?!? I want too but unsure
@f7 I agree. 11/27 is not what we signed up for! That being said, even if you could rescind the VSP, you probably wouldn't be laid off. You're volunteering to go, and they still are keeping you (us) until 11/27. No need to second-guess it.
Also, if they wanted to let us go sooner, they could. They would just have to pay out the VSP package that we agreed to. They have a lot of leeway and we don't.
I'm looking for another job so I highly doubt I'll be here 11/27 so I won't be receiving any package. I just don't think I can last 16 months.....
@b7 I agree! My date is 11/27 and no way can I last that long. My PL is a total corporate shill who just loves PEGA. It’s soul su-king.i wish I could rescind my VSP and be laid off this fall : (

@ag we were actually told we can withdraw our VSP.
I was told by my PL that if I wanted to rescind my VSP due to the separation date, that I could send an email to my HR Business Partner requesting to rescind it. There is no guarantee they will though. I was also told this is not going public and if I wanted to do it I needed to do it ASAP. Very very shady company! Typical Centene rollout!
It goes by fast, surely you can coast that long. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, bonus then VSP.

There is light at the end of the tunnel, and May isn't really THAT far off.
It's essentially 9 months from now...not even a year.
So look at it like this: you have the peace of mind of knowing they're no longer deciding your fate...you took it into your own hands, and they're on to dealing with other people's separations from the company. It's really doubtful that they will be messing with anyone who took the VSP, to the point of finding ways to fire them so they lose out on that $$. They don't want the smoke, of lawsuits which people would file, should that happen...they don't want legal entanglements and the possibility of being liable for doling out any more $ than what they're trying to budget for and control.
So be glad you don't have to start your new job hunt until next year.
Set a month/date in your calendar for when you'll start the new job hunt next year...something like the middle of March (not too soon into the year), so if you get an offer, you can make a smooth transition into the new job for May or June.
You can rest assured during this upcoming holiday season (don't spend very much, though...be frugal/smart with your money from now on), that things are covered...you have your job until May, and you will have a BIG FAT STACK of CA$H once you leave this place!
Don't worry about all of the "what ifs"...proceed forward with confidence.

My exit date is at the end of 2027. I started looking for jobs when I applied for the VSP. I found one that is a good fit, so I'm in the interview process. I don't want to work for Centene for another 16 months: too much drama, uncertainty and a complete disconnect/regard for employees. My VSP will be left on the table.
I got a 12/11 separation date and I’m planning on sticking it out. I was planning to leave in April or May of 2027 for grad school before all this VSP/restructuring stuff so it gets me closer to that date with a full time income.
That being said, if I had gotten a late 2027 date I probably would not stick it out.
March 2027. Was planning to retire when VSP was announced so waited for an answer and, since it’s so far out, continuing with my retirement plan. Best of luck to all.
@a6 You can not longer withdraw your VSP!! Cant do much at this point! Look for a new job or wait it out
I was already applying for jobs when the vsp offer came out. This would just be the icing on the cake. My vsp end date is in August 2027. I'm not sticking around that long. My mental health is worth more than the vsp package and honestly I think between now and then they will try to find a way out of paying it. My two cents.
@a6 There's is absolutely NOTHING in the VSP verbiage that says this. Quit spreading false information.
@OP you’re not in limbo. You are in the same position you were in before VSP rolled out.
You have a job into 2027 and know you will get a payout at the end.

You are able to withdrawal your VSP and take you chances of being laid off next month.
