Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Don't focus just on pay when looking to leave Fiserv

The best benefit my new job offers isn't pay or perks. It's a culture that won't ki-l me with stress.

@fa it's worth it if your goals make it worth it. Don't be a drama queen. Go home at 5pm, get a hobby or study for a new job, save some money with the 6 figure paycheck and cut some expenses. Then jump for better or take a break.

@an EVERYONE's life is valuable... not tied to how much they make..

I am not a random guy... worked here 25+ years.. literally Excelled at job performance.. received multiple awards.. but this was all prior to First Data's entrance..

and Now, think about your own life..

Time IS currency..

With the way the life of ANYONE getting cut short ( doesn't matter.. a long term employee or a hollywood celebrity or a billionaire heir ).. no one knows how long they are going to live..you can find examples of each case on google.. YOUR OWN life is VERY valuable to YOU and to YOUR family.. Think about your kids..

Not a worthy place to work under stress while the top brass reaps the benefits.. What did Divya actually contribute to Fiserv.. and how much she got paid..

Before the street dogs bark loud on me..discolsure: Divya and I share the same demographics, location, language etc.. .. but the facts don't change.

@bm You must be an amatuer. Here are the questions you can consider during your interview.

“How would you describe the culture here—and what part of the culture takes the most adjustment for new leaders?”
“What behaviors tend to make someone highly successful here? What behaviors cause someone to struggle?”
“Can you give me an example of a recent disagreement among the leadership team and how it was resolved?”
“When the leadership team disagrees with the CEO, what does that typically look like?”
“How are difficult decisions made here when there isn't clear consensus?”
“What happens when a senior leader misses a commitment or doesn't deliver?”
“How comfortable are leaders challenging one another in meetings?”
“What would employees tell me about the culture that I probably wouldn't learn during the interview process?”
“What has the company deliberately tried to change about its culture over the last two years?”
“Why have strong performers or leaders chosen to leave?”
“What are the biggest sources of frustration for employees today?”
“When business performance is under pressure, how does the leadership team's behavior change?”
“How much autonomy would I have to make decisions in this role without seeking approval?”
“Tell me about a significant change someone in this role advocated for that initially wasn't popular. What happened?”
“If I joined and we were having this conversation a year from now, what would need to be true for you to say I was a great cultural fit?”

"How many phone calls do employees get at 2 AM?"

If they look at you like you are insane, then that might be a good employer.

And how do you go about evaluating culture when you are in a job interview? What kind of questions are you asking that would gauge this well?

WELL SAID.
FISERV CULTURE IS TOXIC AND PAY IS HORRIBLE.
