So considering that the originally presented timeline is out the window, can any of the PL shed light on when will they notifying people that did not apply for VSP that they are being laid off?

@OP it will be on Monday Aug 10. All conversations will be had. That’s the timeline for the plan I work for.
@bc Wrong. I was not already planning to leave the company. And neither were many others that I know that took VSP. However, the writing was on the wall. SL made it very clear that our jobs were in jeopardy. So we had 2 choices. #1) Take the VSP & at least have some "extra" benefits, or #2) Don't take VSP & risk being laid-off with nothing extra. No one is safe. Period.
@OP I am not sure what the comments are so disgusting. Either these people are crazy or trying to chase people away from here. I’ve had enough.

@b3 Yes we are all nervous wrecks and I am hoping sooner than later so I can move on. This is absolutely the most stressful and ridiculous thing any company can do to their people. I mean really. Don’t talk about it for months. Just do it.
@ad you were included in the vsp tally…you’ll still keep your departure date. You’re not included in the RIF happening this month. The RIF people are a whole new batch of people they need to get rid of unfortunately. When Sarah London said 4 out of 5 people took vsp, that was code for the 5th person will be RIF personnel.
Silver lining if any is that at least you know where you are with this company as of today. Those who did not take vsp are nervous wrecks.
@OP We are all hoping soon like by 8/14. As far as some replies that are just mean and ugly.
@ac this is the most frustrating part! The million dollar question. I have a separation date of August 2027 so don’t understand any of it!
I accepted my VSP and got the date of 9/4 but with some VSP packages going out as far as November 2027, why would there need to be layoffs if that many people accepted the VSP and have to work until next year to get the package? Or is it they pushed the dates out after 9/4 to make people quit so they would not have to pay them out?
PLs know less than the people who opted in to the VSP. This is the least transparent process I have ever seen.

I don't understand some of the outlandish stupid questions being posted on all the various threads related to the Centene VSP and the layoff possibility. If you go back to when this all started - VSPs were offered, either take it and the package, and the potential date would be 'around sept' (that doesn't say specifically) - you should be intelligent enough or at least been working for quite a few years to know that this is not your parents telling you - it's corporate america! They don't have to be 'exact'. Another thing, does my seniority apply if I change roles? I mean really, c'mon. Where have you been working in the past - what would make you believe that 'the clock' would restart on your years of service with the company? Who ever has 'years of service in a department' as a monumental celebration at any company! You must be from Centene, because you obviously aren't a WellCare employee - we are smart - remember? So again, another stupid question - when are the layoffs going to be announced? Well, looking back I believe "mId-August' was stated. So why are you all bellyaching when we are only at August 4th? Do you expect mommy is hiding the information like 'santa claus' and will suddenly change the date because you keep tugging on the apron? C'mon people, you are all sounding like mo--ns on these threads!!! Read, Read, process reality, not fairyland dreams of suddenly your PL or London calling is going to reveal something different because you 'can't comprehend'!
@a1 Centene made it very clear that lay-offs would occur after the VSP offering. It was outlined in the VSP package: "Following the VSP, we do expect that we will need to make further restructuring decisions, and we will expect to notify anyone whose role is impacted by mid-August.". SL also stated it in the London Calling video when VSP was rolled out. There will be further reductions in staff.

@OP But But we were told in CPI that they did not tell us take the VSP or run the risk of being laid off... lol... And now they are not answering if there will be lay offs. #je-ks
