A whole bunch of people in Integrated Services are being asked to interview for jobs. The implication being, if you don't find a job you are no longer employed.
You can argue about the value of Integrated Services, but this is a cr-ppy way to treat people. It is sad that the company is starting to use these tactics.
This is what happens when consultants with very little real people leadership experience get to run the show.

@pf Ford Pro is really just a figment of imagination and accounting manipulation.
I blame marketing, if they were to actually do their jobs instead of playing sadistic games all day, you'd probably see less of a need to get revenue from silly ideas and actually see in demand vehicles driving revenue. I worry a lot about Ford Pro, when you put a pathetic uneducated child in charge of marketing core product portfolio, the company has problems.
@p3 being responsible to sell digital services in Europe is a dead end job. Ant think of a more deserving recipient.
This is a MUCH better way of doing it than what they did in 2023.
People weren’t given the opportunity to find another job even when there were open jobs to fill.
Yeah this is a raw deal. If that memo comes along, I'll just wait it out and make them act. You need to be constantly testing the waters even if you don't plan on leaving. If I'm gonna leave it's gonna be to another company. Not sure why anyone would want to come back to Ford. My question is - haven't you seen enough? Are they the only place to work? There's really not much of a future in automotive unless you are at the tail end of your career and just need that extra bump to get you to retirement. 5-10 years things will look a lot different.
@nj a better plan might be to call the new executive director of digital services in Europe and beg for a new job like they were given. Failing to produce value doesn’t mean you don’t have a job at Ford if your nose gets browned regularly.
@hf if you are in Integrated Services you probably need to upgrade your skills because you have been working under the least skilled people in the entire automotive industry.
@hf They post some but they're not real, just for show, at this point the only open positions are already marked for elimination or only those from the outside with zero Ford experience may apply.
Has anyone else found any jobs at Ford to apply for??? I’ve looked through them all and there is nothing that would fit my skill set.
If you're told to interview, apply for every job, if you want to stay at Ford. I was told to interview, Jan 2024, because 2 men don't like you. I did. still cut.
@d7 if Ford only produced and sold F-150s we’d be more profitable.
Maybe a smaller company, but more profitable.

Another wrong comment here. Software and services are a key part of the Ford+ Plan. We're you at any of the GTH this year?? There are sizeable profits to be had in this sector with very little overhead and investment. Plus the subscription based services earn the company revenue even after the sale of a vehicle. Thus a critical part of the future of mobility.
The President of IS should be first to go. I have no idea why such an unqualified person would be on the Board of Ford Energy. It’s doomed to fail like his subscriptions to mirrors.
Layoffs su-k but at least those folks have the chance to transfer internally. Many are simply shown the door.
Headcount task for 2027, pretty substantial in some areas. If your group is still hiring you might be on the chopper.
The reality is they’ve been told they better be looking elsewhere for a new job, as everyone in Integrated Services should be. That group spent tens of $billions but has produced NOTHING that delivers revenue. Their big thing was Canopy Security LLC which cost $200 million to buy out the “partnership.” Huge waste of money, time to put a stop to the drain.
Sorry to hear. It is the precursor to cuts. The tactic is not a new one for Ford. If you were told to interview be sure to extend your job search to other companies and industries.
