Someone posted awhile back that they did successfully get their end date changed. Yesterday it seems almost everyone I know that was attempting this, received the same statement from HR stating that their end date would not be changed "due to business needs" with no further explanation. Just curious if the person that posted they did get their end date changed actually did, and how they did this, what avenue they took. When I've asked about the business need (our team is slow and having to scramble daily to find work, so I'm not seeing this business need on our team when we are over staffed) but get a generic answer-and not really an answer at all. I love how the company continues to promote the culture of "transparency", "Mission Simplify", etc....

@hk Wow..... Thanks for sharing and responding!
Yep my manager called me.
@ct I want to make sure I'm understanding your post. So, without requesting an earlier exit date or reaching out to HR or a PL, they changed your exit date from March 2027 to 9/4/26. Just randomly??? That gives me a ton of anxiety. My exit date is 11/2027. I contacted HR, and they said the exit dates are set and won't change. I'll never completely trust this company again, but they're already changing them? How were you notified? I'm trying to decide if it's possible I could go check my email one day, and a new exit date will be waiting for me.
@ct Lucky! I've appealed my end date to everyone possible I can think of and continue to get a generic "it won't change due to business need" even though the business need is NOT there on my team, even my direct PLs agree that our team is over staffed..........just proves that they just want as many people to quit as possible so they don't have to honor the VSP. So anyone out early, enjoy it, take that money and RUN, and better things are on your horizon!!!!!
Yes l was changed from March 2027 to Sept 4 2026. Didn’t request it but definitely welcomed it. Ready to be done in 2 weeks.
I know someone who took VSP - separation date 9/4/26 but was let go on 8/10/26 and will be paid up til VSP effective date.
@a4 exactly my thoughts, they are looking for ways not to pay out.
@a2 and how do you know this?
@a2 on an earlier post, someone did say theirs was changed. I was just curious if this was true. Sure feels more like they would prefer to end up firing people or having them quit and have no intention of actually paying out the VSP for those with dates into next year.....so disheartening. This whole process has been a complete sh-t show, not handled well at all. So much for the years of dedication to the company.....
nobody had a VSP date moved to anything earlier. there have been cases where someone took a later date voluntarily.
