Is it true that a new hire will have to relocate to the city the training location is in, instead of virtual training? I saw a job posted in Workday stating trainees would have to be in Houston for the duration of training. Are they putting people up in hotels for that? Or a stipend?

@kd So all of the talk about everyone being WFH, and we can hire people from all over the US, should have been prefaced with: if you live in a city with a hub unless you want to shell out for housing and food while making a training wage.
It will be on your dime if you decide to take a job with training taking place at a hub, in this case Houston with the knowledge you will then be remote if it is a remote position that does not require flex in office. That is how it was explained to my area.
I have heard that as well but given how cheap and shortsighted we are- I’m not sure they will put people up.
Just another mind game.
