$30k launch. $34k within 6 months. Only package on dealer lot - $41k. Dealer markup - $45k.
@kf My guess is that there'll be one trim at $29,990 and they'll make a handful of them to meet the hyped claim (I.e., this trim will be unobtanium). They'll add a $2k destination charge after that.
Then, expect the base price to reach $40k in two or three years tops.
How much you want to bet by the time this thing launches it's $40k - minimum and sold at a loss?
I place the blame on marketing; isn't it their responsibility to ensure Ford delivers vehicles that meet customer wants and needs? Maybe if they weren't so focused on playing smear the qu--r they could get actual work done.
You obviously don't have any exposure to that program.
It will see the light if day. But not at $30k! That was a joke when they announced it!
Skunkworks with DF's help did a phenomenal job on the UEV. JF even mentioned it in the GTH.
