Literally 0 evidence of this. Maybe you are confused with Shell selling their chemical assets… Would be braindead to sell CVX additives at the same time to go for a lower price.
Sell a global businesses because of bad leadership in a US plant? Fix the problem.

Don't know date, but not surprised. Running business to the ground. The US plant manager not concerned about plant, people, or community, only concern about #1. Very toxic environment.
