@x8 That makes the RTO initiative more puzzling.

@vr very few of the many, many layoffs over the last 12 mos have resulted in a Warn Notice. The law literally requires it only for a certain amount of people per site. Which doesn’t apply to anyone working remotely or even hybrid de what I can tell.

@vz Curious. Do their telecommute location codes count as a site? Ex: 995. How does it work for remote workers?

@vr warn is only for 60+ or more people per SITE. UHG has hundreds of sites

@OP Apparently this won't be a big enough event to trigger a warn notice. The warn notice would have happened this month.

@e5 Truth. I'm OT and just handed in notice. Tapped for a cloud thing and asked and why tech is putting a commercial service together when the same thing was relaunched in product this year. Didn't get a straight answer but it was clear many heads will get the axe.

@de true crazy smoke and mirrors. new VPs are added, old VPs from CHC or longtime homegrown all the way down will be blindsided when their projects are "consolidated" into Optum Tech motions.

SD is outsourcing everything OA does to Indian freshers from Cognizant, etc.

Going to be huge.

LOTS was financially approved for 2027 spend without budget/numbers. Many of those are duplicates. Chaos is intentional.

We have a bloated 2027 plan and by now you've seen the org chart grow in Optum with UHC transfers, a lot of Indian nationals, and top heavy (yes lower/longer term people are cut and they are adding fresh VPs).

The strategy for the rest of 2026 will be to "drastically cut 2027 plans" to really juice Q3 earnings call/investor conference/forward guidance. They will project revenue falling in 2027-28 with "normalizing/return to growth in late 2028-29" which will be countered by the cuts. RIF targets will be proportional to merit/tenure.
