Field Leadership Needs to Go

Sales has been given some great products & tools since 2001. Them & Capital Management has largely been insulated from the changes. Yet, year after year, they dramatically underperform. Time to get close & get a microscope & do a colonoscopy w/o the sedation.

@19f the first line on Mr. Rose’s & Mr. W. Conway’s Contract Termination Report were: CONSULTANT NAME & Code. According to them, if lost a plan, it was the Consultant’s Fault. Forms haven’t changed so current administration must still believe if a case is lost, it is the RPSs fault.

@19f how does HR & Regional Offices add value to the company ? Quantify it.
Regional Offices have lost 2,000+ plans in the last 4 years. HR has lost nearly 400 employees in the past 4 years.

@15s You keep blaming and deflecting to other areas. But that has no changes of the fact of the matter of who was selected to be chopped off from MOA. A select group leaching off the company for a free ride like asylum seekers are finally being cut. There is a reason these people have been sitting on their hands being gifted free money instead of seeking employment elsewhere, these are lazy, unskilled, uneducated, dimwitsssss not fit to be at the company. So stop calling out the Regional Office, the VPs, the board, HR, etc they peoples actually have value to the company.

@ww what does this team SUCX do ? i mean, they send out surveys MANUALLY - nor automatically like every other company does. they dont send out surveys after individual participants. such a failed effort to gather influential participant feedback so that me as a CRM can walk into my client review meetings to spread the good news about the client relationship. we have none of that. Cruz, Konn, none of them have provided much support in years. Website hasn't been updated in yrs. old articles. Its tragic. No one seems motivated or cares anymore.

@j8 you have this all, and I mean, all wrong. It’s not the “low end” production workers at fault, it is the strategic decision makers who made these decisions & developed this process in the first place at fault. Plus the company should sue FIS but the company’s decision makers went with a dos based legacy system at FIS which was being retired and paid bargain basement basic economy prices & that has led to the disastrous consequences.

@wa add to the list:

  1. Team CX, UX (also known as Team SUCX. The firm pays 2 people $450,000 per yr to send out Net Promoter Score surveys. All this can be done by the great A-S-S-Centure for like $10,000 per year. All automated. They can send surveys to idividual participant & people who call i to the call center. That michaelango da vinci, Tom cruz, & Fast ED Konn man, are all replaceable.

  2. Regional Financial Consultant also known as the financial planners who actually do any financial planning. They do the least amount of work in the company & have been a big bust w/no results w/asset retention.

Both groups are a pure waste of over $1,000,000 !

@jg no doubt. They continue to be saved but don’t sell and don’t have the relationship with the client. Disgusting.

Is “Rasputia” Favors going to get to stay? Or will she and Schneider get shipped off to India? I’ll miss the 70 page performance appraisal process.

@jg leadership and VPs decide the direction, which they did! It is up to the low end productions workers to actually produce the results and they failed to make things happen with the direction they were given. Decisions like these are not made for no reason now. Every worker on the block to be set to pasture are getting the axe for a reason. Quite simply they are failures.

@j8 the teams shouldn’t be canned. It’s the VPs and above who are still there and made these rushed strategic decisions who should be shown the door. The teams that are there are trying to clean up their schit from schitty decision making. Plus, field sales is immune. If they can’t sell, fire them. 50 should be canned on the spot this week. Time to end the free ride for them.

What products of value are actually added? Let us be realistic here everyone. For any product added, we ruined it with poor role out. Clients got a confusing platform, documents became confusing and bloated, processes slowed up to the point of frustration by both field and clients. There is a reason the teams slated to get laid off are not part of the future of MOA. Implementation was pi-s poor by them and they are paying the consequences of their failure. Must hope Accenture can improve things because right now everything is a mess on the back end of it all.

When all these enhancements were launched 5 yrs ago, business was supposed to take off like a SpaceXX rocket ship. Well that clearly did not happen. The quality of people being hired for many of these group sales roles is abysmal. The rvps & recruiting managers are so desperate to hire just to check a box & fill slots that often you get bottom of the barrel candidates. Rvps often hire the first one they interview instead of keeping the position open for 6-9 months and interviewing 10-12 candidates. What makes matters much worse is MOA’s poor reputation. Job seekers always look to Glassdoor, Indeed, Yelp, BBB, & Google for reviews. These reviews scare many good candidates away. It is a shame the Board & C-Suite don’t full recognize or appreciate this & hire an outside PR firm to improve the company’s marketing & media position. With the advancements in media & tech, it’s super easy to hire an Indian to post positive content about companies. Unfortunately, MOA has wasted 5 yrs in not doing so & the damage is now permanent.

@ac problem is the company spend no $. I mean no $ on marketing. Plus the plan set up process is worse than getting a rec-tal exam. 15 forms. All paper. KKlunKy process from A to Z. Can’t set up plans online. Its 2026 & the firm acts like it has the Y2K bug. Crazy.

@OP 2001 ? you mean 2021 ? if so, yes. lots of great products and tools. New lineups. fiduciary services. great looking marketing materials. new IRA options. still leadership has underperformed. resorting to cold call and no one answering. what a waste of $ & space.
