I signed the general release on July 5 but up to this day no severance yet.

@cp signed GWR on July 1st, severance received today August 6th, in line with management payroll date. After 26 plus years, laid off due to declining force relocation due to office closure.
@OP mine was right at 45 days.
Pay out should be August 6
You should get your severance 30-45 days after your last day on payroll. I would expect it to be closer to 45 days.
Seeing this question posted on this forum sort of helps confirm and validate your surplus.
