@124 gold prices don't tank day after day...there is nothing cigna is doing that makes any sense except lowering the value of the American worker. Its that simple.
@1fg I admire your sentiment, but the Indians are definitely taking our jobs. They are now grossly over represented in management. They tend to hire their own, meaning from their own region or social circle. They’ve oversold the offshore capabilities to the remaining non Indian leadership… and collude with that group to increase the pipeline away from onshore jobs. It’s a feee trip to them!

@14w As an American I agree with most of what you said. However Indians are not "stealing our jobs". Our jobs were shipped off to them. It is not reasonable to be mad at someone for taking an opportunity that was offered to them. The vilian of this piece is Cigna for outsourcing our jobs, while not giving a damn of the impact it has on our American customers who pay all our wages. These corporations always get away with it, because they shift the blame to the foreigners who "took your job". It's outsourced accountability.
@10b I meant the stock isn't doing well. They cut and report savings, make investments in AI, announce selling off parts of the business, and exiting the ACA marketplace.
And the stock... stays flat or goes down.

@14s Spoken like a true Indian bootlicker who wants to keep they job they stole from us. Yeah not all people are hateful, and it’s good to gravitate towards loving people, but it’s not a very loving act to accept a position at a foreign company working for pennies on the American dollar knowing it will put an American out of work and possibly ruin their life after they gave years of hard work. In fact, it is almost like subtle warfare against the USA so don’t expect any American to think you are loving, when most of us feel you are stealing from us.
Also quit licking Evanko’s boots and believing any of the stuff they tell you. If things change, they will shut down HIH in a heartbeat and all of you who thought kissing a-s and licking boots would keep you safe will find out they don’t care about ANYONE.

With that said, not all Indians are hateful. Just like people from all countries, you have a mixed bag of some being loving and some being hateful. No country, including America and India, has all loving nor had all hating people.
So, suggestion, gravitate to the loving people and either call out or ignore the hateful people.

Cigna is gonna keep thriving as it has. The dead weight will be cut, low performing functions will be sold, and the company will keep producing Gold….
@100 It’s not just CI stock, the whole market seems to think everything in the world is just fine and it’s the mid 1990s. But the bottom is gonna fall out somewhere, and Cigna is a good candidate for a company to fall apart.
If CI stock was a person, it would just shrug and go back to the couch to watch Love Island.
It's doing literally nothing in response to this new leader, Lead to One, and the hollowing out of the company.
@e3 Even if Cigna had to sell the Wilde Bldg. there are no buyers for that mid-century monstrosity. Nobody is hiring thousands of employees and setting up shop in CT. They will raze it to the ground like Aetna in Cromwell or HIG in Simsbury.
@dg The Wilde building and the golf course (through a subsidiary) and other buildings are owned by Cigna. They won’t sell those properties unless the company gets bought or goes belly up.
@OP I really have a hard time taking Brian Evanko seriously. Does anyone else feel this way? There is just something about that stupid sh-t eating grin he makes. It's like a mix of cocky and oh sh-t I don't have a clue as to what I'm doing.
I feel like he is just an interim President / CEO. I give him 2-3 years before he is replaced by a more competent professional.
Well with a lot less workers they could not renew their lease at the Wilde building and save more money

@a3 Yes, seeing as how most of these large health insurance corporations have 10k+ employees and now they are in a very anti-American manner displacing many employees using cheaper foreign labor, AI, contractors, and younger inexperienced workers. Someday, SOON, all of these displaced workers will be eligible for Medicare and have opportunity to choose between Traditional Medicare or Medicare Advantage. Now, I ask you, you don’t think when it comes time for them to make that decision that they are NOT going to remember how these corporations treated them, throwing them on the scrap heap, while trading America’s jobs to foreign workers that now have access to American citizen’s PII & PHI sensitive data???
@OP Those "initiatives" you are referring to, are your former co workers who are now without a job in this terrible economy. Every job eliminated is also a customer lost. How is Cigna going to be profitable next year when there is nothing and no one left to cut?
