I hear that Jira Boards are being heavily scrutinized to see whos' doing what

@15z Something that should be called Abstraction Day. It's literally heavier touch than the old way, but it allows a groups that hops from bank to bank saying they automate the toil out of everything to claim they did so here, despite the fact all they did was introduce a layer of middleware they expect to be driven by AIOps.
Used JIRA extensively and showed my group kicked b*tt. Didn't matter. Layoff truck comes through it comes through.
@15y what’s ZTP Day?
Do the needful. Aug. 6th is ZTP Day.
People monitor JIRA?!
That explains why for every one person doing actual work, there are three people doing metrics on it. 2 mangers reading the metrics, the a principle engineer burning thousands of dollars on tokens every month.
Then at least 2 Hudson yard narcissists believing they have a skill other the running g their mouth and not saying anything.
Can anyone else confirm the Aug 4th Tuesday is the day?
COO and Tech will "lead the way", as usual.
Aug 4 - Big one regardless of Jira board monitoring, it’s terrible Tuesday and the impact will be through out.
Time to save up for the massive needful.
Is that like a Ouji board?
That's what she said
@OP
We don't use stories to figure out who is doing what.
Well, if they look at numbers and put quantity above quality, they will keep the cheaters- that write stories: I went to a meeting, I did an interview, I took a phone call vs. actual work.
If true, this just adds more weight to the argument that it's no longer what you're accomplishing, but what you can make it look like you're accomplishing.
Very .com bust-ish.
So glad that I got displaced with severance so I don't have to deal with that sheisse anymore. For any work that involved putting out fires, it was taking longer to write the tickets in the proper format and proper tense than it took to do the verdammt task! Nicht mehr, nein danke!
it's true! my team was told to be sure any task in current sprint shows in progress otherwise it's "assumed" you are not working or something to that effect.....mgmt has upped its game with new metrics!
What a pointless post.
