Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

NatGen Engineers

Is the plan to actually integrate/onboard them or replace them with H1-B hires in India, once their systems have been brought over?

There doesn’t seem to be any plan, from what I can tell. Seems like they are trying to figure out what to do with the NatGen folks. Or maybe they aren’t in the plans for the future, and that’s the reason.

The NatGen side of things has been "optimistically weird" since 2024/2025 when we started to integrate...I mean "re-brand" to Allstate. My manager and a ASmprogram manager made some statements in passing a while back about "drastic changes coming in the few years, but we have a lot of work for us beforehand".

We're told we're valued and "we're the reason why Allstate bought NatGen" but then at the same time, the general vibe is we're all getting canned the second we fully integrate over and are no longer needed. I'd suspect many of our engineers will be canned too except for the select few who keep the systems up and running.

Welcome to Allstate.

You can expect a round (sometimes multiple rounds) of the Hunger Games every year. May the odds be ever in your favor.

My guess is there will be a mass exodus once they get a healthy dose of the OBD experience.
