Not anymore. The people doing the bare minimum are getting all the same raises and the same recognition as we do. And when it's time to cut folks, we all have the exact same chance of being affected. What incentive does that leave for us?

Before the 08. 09... financial crisis. I would get 10% raise every year... after that... 1 to 2..
Not everywhere. Or at least not where I was at ~5-10 years ago. Was may more reasonable and hard work did get rewarded in a lot of cases. It's a shame where things seem to have gone/are going.
I had that happen at my prior two firms. That is corporate America
Do the bare minimum and see where that takes you. Who knows? You may get a decent raise or promotion.
