Not sure if you all saw the B*ind post (this site sometimes removes reference to it) which claimed layoffs in the US would be two Mondays in succession: Aug 17 and 24. Just passing it on in case people don’t have access to the app.

They are unlikely to do layoffs on a Friday, so I assume another week is coming and going with nothing happening

It’s not incompetence, it’s entirely by design. They want to lower morale so much that people quit on their own so they don’t have to pay out severance. It’s called constructive dismissal and it’s completely legal
Management doesn’t care because they are demons and arent personally affected, their comp only goes up the more they reduce costs aka our salary and livelihood
Every day Wall Street wants to see the cuts and AI efficiency and every day the market is disappointed with Enrique and the slow turn around time. The guy has been on the BOD’s for a while. It’s not like he’s an outsider.
One thing is for sure. They have destroyed morale around this place and lost some real good talent for all their BS.

Everyone is being targeted. There is no "safe" list.

Honestly the sheer amount of rumors going around for different dates is beyond frustrating
I just wish they would get on with it cus I'm tired of it now
