80 people laid off 8/11/2026) in IT support and PACs (imaging). They outsourced the work to a company called "Infinite". They signed a multi-year contract with Infinite. The workers have had to work along side them for the last several months. The workers from Infinite have little health care experience.

The workers hired by the 3rd party companies barely speak english. Most do not have health care experience. The US employees and contractors clean up their messes and are forced to work with them though most don't have skills to contribute.. They do not know how to behave in a hospital setting, often upsetting hospital staff. They will be hand held through various projects then these third party companies that are mainly body shops for H1B workers will be awarded multi year projects.
At the end of the day, it comes down to who has the right skills and who doesn’t.
If Ascension could work out the logistics, they'd put patients on 747's and fly them to India for treatment to save money.
No, not turning into. It already is in IT between hiring an Indian CEO then outsourcing 90% in 2021. And it has only increased since then.

@118 It basically is now. All that's really left is security oriented teams that they won't get rid of, and the people that are managing the MSPs.
The entire company will soon be outsourced, especially the IT department.
