A wise man once told me, you can’t pick your salary but you can choose your hourly wage.

@ae They seemingly pay for minimum time with butts in seats these days, at least if you're hybrid. I know my performance dropped drastically after being converted from pre-COVID WFH to a rando office with no coworkers to speak of, just plenty of unwanted noise and distractions.

@ag The raises were as small as ever for in office employees. But in office employees are having to pay for a lot more than remote employees. Many Legends were remote, because I am sure they are more productive not having to deal with all the stress of the office environment, commute etc. We aren’t getting bonuses, or huge raises or better treatment. Don’t let the MC fool you!

They converted pensions to cash for old timer. Stretched LTI requirements paid out for retirees to September. Etc.

Plus RTO is equal to at least $10k pay cut when factoring 2 hours of unpaid commute daily, transportation, clothing, lunch, daycare, medical payments for buying dr-gs because of extra stress, etc

If you try harder gunjan will get richer and retire earlier and we will all benefit.

@ag Bingo! Before anyone brings up RTO, that is not performance. RTO is obedience. It is like when my dog gets an extra treat for being obedient to my command. Got nothing to do with his performance in dog shows.

@ae they SAY they pay for performance but they do not. If they truly did pay for performance only then we would not have had separate buckets for hybrid and remote employees during the last cycle merit raises.

There is no point. They pay for performance, they're getting what they're paying for.

There is no point. Do the minimum and apply elsewhere. That's what I'm doing. What benefits are shrinking?
