Activity Tracking

So apparently we’re being told our activity is being tracked… but no one can tell us what activity they’ve tracking yet. 😂

Like… what exactly are you monitoring? Keyboard activity? Teams status? Logins? Time in applications? Mouse movement? Because I’M WORKING LOL.

“We’ll let you know soon what’s being tracked” is such a wild thing to tell employees. What the f&$% are we doing here?! 😂

Well I know of five things First hand experience and I've seen happen or told from other people.

  1. Badge swipes report- we once had a manager have a meeting with us showing us a list of our employee ID next to our times and which door was accessed. I guess an attempt to let people know they meant business.

  2. The mouse jiggler incident, all over the news about being away for too long on teams, it's five minutes if anyone's interested. Don't install software. If you must, use a analog watch. Or set a timer on your phone for like 4:30 important to vary times... so you'll have enough time to run back to your PC before it turns yellow.

  3. Bathroom breaks- yes they are tracking how long. I guess cross referencing away. Badge and maybe cameras.

  4. PC location monitoring- in the tool tray, any time you see the 'bullseye' icon come up it's checking your IP and logging your location, this supposedly gets checked against an office wfh report in alignment with the rto thing compliance.

  5. Teams- don't say in any communication the word text or reference anything about work or talk later about it. Someone will ask you about what it meant and you'll have to explain.

All these methods though can be defeated though by not establishing a pattern. The trick is for any of these use random times and for PC activities, don't do it everyday, once a pattern is established they have you. A cat and mouse game if you will.
